Just a quick update.

I’m on a roll with Tales of Symphonia now. I already made it to Tethe’alla. And I recruited Presea and zum-zum-zum… Zelos! I already like him. Very usefull to get a lot of usefull healing items for free.  So, where am I? Currently in the sewers of Meltokio and about level 29. Well, that’s what you get if you get dumped by Kratos. Still, Kratos. Yummy. Yummy. O right, I have Zelos now. I miss Kratos. I like his old equipment better.

Hummu-hummu. I still have a lot of anime to watch that I plan to watch, like Seirei no Moribito. Well, I started it today. I thought I would need to get used to the whole art and so, but seems like that wasn’t neccesary. It’s quite nice to watch, pretty much fluent. Even more fantastic is the soundtrack. It is really fitting, but also gives it more quality then there already was.  Balsa is a cool character, as the best spear wielding person and an woman as well.  Finally, a character that starts off strong. I’m looking forward to see Chagum develop into a fine young boy.

And now for something completely different …

Yes, I’m still alive. I just don’t have much to talk about right now, at least if it’s about anime. Nothing really special going on at the moment…. So I decided to make a blog on my current game-obsession: Tales of Symphonia!

It started a while ago when I watched the OVA. I liked the animation and I was dying to play the game as well, but I didn’t have a Gamecube. Untill I finally got a Wii, which also plays Gamecube cds and how I’m lucky to have a friend who’d like to lend me his game including controller and memory card. I saw that ToS2 was out, something for my Christmas wishlist, but before that, I’d have to play the first game. Well, I prefer to start off a complete new game, so there it goes.

I’m not going to summarize the whole plot, you’d have to find that for yourself. Just skip this blog if you don’t like spoilers. I’m not that far yet. I just beated Killia, who is actually not the daughter of the mayor of Palmacosta, but one hell of a bitch. I wasn’t expecting a boss fight, so I died the first time. Had to go through all the conversations again. Fortunately, I save on a regular base.  I’m now in the second human ranch, the Palmacosta ranch, and got once again stuck. I need to find the evil boss. Just for the information, I didn’t release the second seal yet. I chose to save Choco. Reminds me that I got knocked out by the optional boss in the Ossa Trail.  Stupid thing. I will be back, you mean skeleton head. So, back to where I am. Ahaha. It’s been a while since I played a game that I didn’t play before and I tend to get stuck quite easily. Well, not this time. Untill there were all the warps. If there’s a thing that I don’t like, it’s warps, unless it’s a simple path : there and back again. Golden Sun (I/II) didn’t have much of those annoying points, but it was easy to get stuck in the Elemental Rocks if you never played it before. Anyhow, back to the point. I noticed that the Sorcerer’s Ring changed, so I got the hang of it. Not so hard at all, this time it has the ability to see invisible things or to activate warpspots. There was one room with holes and I was thinking: ‘Err… where are the blocks to fill it with?’ I didn’t notice that I already bumped into them, in the same room. They were invisible, but not for the Sorcerer’s Ring. I fail.

So, next thing to do is finish the warp puzzle and beat mr. Boss.

Animal Detectives Kiruminzoo

Yes, yes! Another new show. I just picked it up by accident. I thought that each episode would only about 5 minutes or so, but no, it’s a full 24 minutes.

I was surprised with the opening. It was… from Thailand. I was like… Okay. So is the anime also going to be in Thai, like Winter Sonata? No, it’s just Japanese. Why did they pick a Thai song, I wonder. Probably because of the sponsor. It’s going to be 50 episodes as well. Oh my. Let’s just hope that this will be a fine show.

Anyamal Tantei Kiruminzuu is about an animal-loving family, consisting of father, mother and three daughters. The oldest daughter is obvious Nagisa, her two younger sisters are Rimu (… sure it’s not Reimu?) and Riko (… sure it’s not Rika?). Their dad seems to be fond of plankton or perhaps just water creatures and their mother is a veterinarian who seems to have the ability to talk to animals. Perhaps she’s plainly talking to them, who knows. Riko and Rimu find a secret staircase to the next floor in their home when chasing a cat. Riko is somewhat like a hyper-girl and Rimu wears those typical nerd-glasses. The two find a switch to their grandfather’s secret room and they find Doctor, the turtle, but also some badge-like thingies of animals. They try to open it and they are like some random Tamagotchi. They have to say Kirumin, ordered by a pink guinea pig on their screen. They say Kirumin and a short time their Kiruminphose starts. They are … cosplayed. Riko turned into a cat and Rimu into a rabbit. Their cosplay-like costume is stuck. Usefull for a con. Anyhow, they have to go after the cat. Riko jumps like a cat after Lyla the cat and Rimu notices that she can jump easily. Riko falls of her house, turns into a cat and got partly caught by Ken and returns back to her cosplay-form again. She really got shorter and Rimu got caught by Ken’s friend Tamao. Anyhow, they continue on their way to cat the cat. Err, get the cat. Lyla almost got road-killded by a car, but then Rimu saves Riko and Lyla. Problem is, Rimu is in front of the bus. She almost gets hit, but then turns into a real rabbit, hops away and then returns to her cosplay-mode as well. Seems that their secret spell to transform in a real animal is ‘what if I was a real *insert animal*’. At the end Kanon, who was also in the beginning but who I forgot to mention, shows up again, saying that she found them

Aha, the ending is Thai as well. Okay, I definitely have to get used to it. First Winter Sonata, now Animal Detectives Kiruminzoo as well. I got used to Winter Sonata, though. So, let’s see. Animation… I don’t know, I guess it’s fine. The designs are cute and almost simple, but very likeable. Sound? It’s fine. No really annoying eardrums breaking voices and of course the Thai OP and ED which makes it stand out more. Story… The real story needs to begin yet.

Overall? I’m definitely gong to watch the next  few episodes as well.
